At 8 months old, Thomas was getting faster at the army-crawl and rarely stayed in one spot for long. He loved chasing Mommy and Daddy around the house, playing peek-a-boo, going for "horsey rides" on Mommy's knees, riding on Daddy's shoulders, and "flying" with Mommy when she laid on the floor and lifted him up on her feet. He also loved to wrestle anybody who was lying on the floor. After his Daddy taught him how to throw a ball, his favorite game was to sit on the floor and toss the ball back and forth. Then he started throwing anything that he could grab with one hand, including rattles, teething toys, and toy cars. He was obsessed with the door stoppers and liked to remove them from the wall, and he was even more obsessed with the vertical blinds on the balcony door, which he broke from tugging on and swatting at so much.
He became very interested in finger foods and especially loved scrambled eggs, pasta, squash, and bread. He would also drink from a sippy cup but only wanted water- no juice. He started pulling himself up to stand at the side of the ottoman, but would only stand for a moment before he would want help down. He went through a short phase where he wanted to wear his little baseball cap around the house all day long, and he liked to wear hats whenever he went out and didn't try to pull them off. Tommy was very ticklish on his thighs and ribs, and loved to laugh. We could also always make him laugh by playing play peek-a-boo behind a blanket, scaring and startling him, and giving him kiss attacks. He even started giving sloppy kisses back :)
His favorite place to go was Costco because he loved the attention from all of the friendly people, tasting the yummy samples, and riding in the cart. We went on a short weekend trip to Charlotte, NC and Tommy loved strolling around town and looking out the window while riding in the car. He was overall a very happy, well-behaved baby and we didn't have to worry too much about him getting fussy or misbehaving when we went out. We liked to take our best little bud everywhere with us :)
